[DNG] [OT] Modification of audio power amplifier.

The attached amplifier circuit is the result of many hours of study and development. It is an audio amplifier that can deliver a continuous power of 250W at 8 Ohms or 450W at 4 Ohms. The resultant distortion figure is around 0.1% for the higher power and about 0 .09% for the lower power. I

The circuit I sent you is not finished yet. Yesterday, I connected it to the output stage to test how it behaves. At first, it oscillated at a frequency of 660kHz. I realised this because the heatsink started getting steadily hotter. To decouple high ultrasonic frequencies I used a decoupling

Thanks for all replies. My first prototype test circuit seems to work as expected although I haven't yet connected the output stage. Connecting a resistor, 10K Ohm, from the inverting input to output, that is, the point between the biasing diodes, resulted in an ouput voltage of 0 Volts. This

Warning: Out of Topic. No relation to Devuan but to technology and electronics. Since, I know some have knowledge of electronics and I am replacing an amplifier's pre-driver stages I am posting here. At present, I am opting to use a simple circuit for testing purposes. This circuit uses a
