Re: [dns-operations] Anyone with contacts at Paypal and/or Ultradns?

2019-12-30 Thread DeJong, Steve
UltraDNS has identified an issue with NSEC signed zones with
empty-non-terminals. We are working to correct this behavior and plan to have
a fix deployed shortly after the new year.

It looks like this is a more widespread Neustar issue. A domain using

Namecheap and PayPal could still be using the same software at another
point in their stacks, but it seems more likely that the problem is on
Neustar's end.

Again not clear whether the zone is signed by Neustar, or they're just serving
a replica that was incorrectly signed elsewhere.

This was in 2014 but I'm not sure it changed a lot since:

If your domain's authoritative name servers have only IPv6 addresses,
then your domain will not be resolvable by many resolvers on the
Internet, because many of them only have IPv4 connectivity.

[dns-operations] IPv6 only for nameservers

2019-12-30 Thread Yonah Peng

Hello,

As IPv4 addresses were exhausted today, if we have deployed the
nameservers with IPv6 addresses only, can they be resolvable by world wide?

Thanks.
