Good day gents,

I assume most everyone here knows about --all-servers and its benefits
with regard to occasionally slow upstream DNS servers.

I've been able to increase the reliability and speed of DNS responses in
my home network considerably, especially in conjunction with DNSSEC.

On the other hand I'd like to use more than a few upstream servers to

a) spread queries wider in order to make our surfing history more opaque and

b) to increase reliability even more -- OK, using 8 or more upstream
servers might be a little over the top ;-)

So to limit network load I suggest a --query-servers=x option which
advises dnsmasq to query x upstream servers out of the defined lot in
parallel and in a round-robin fashion.

Or does this already exist and I just haven't found it yet?

Best regards

Ernst
