Upgrading to the latest version of JadeTex has improved things greatly with
my PDF output from DOCBOOK ...
However, I am still not getting page-number-restart? to work, nor does
admonition graphics work yet.
Am I wasting my time on these things?

This is a sincere question, I'd really like an answer: are you using
JadeTeX? And if so, does it work for you? Because I've been using
it, and I've found the results to be quite poor.

I am continuing to bang my head against the wall on this.
It seems that the latest version of JadeTex I have, 3.3, inserts
PageNumberRestart% macro? calls into the TeX output, and I cannot find them
defined anywhere.
