This is not true. GIJ accepts these options too. It further accepts
their equivalent options -ms and -mx.
I didn't know it took those command-line arguments, but my point was
FYI I'm working on cleaning up their markup and crafting an XSL-FO
toolchain.
It works quite well, though fop memory had to be increased :-)
