It's a bit too expensive for me ($5000 for single CPU) so I'm looking for
another good XSL FO to PDF engine.
Any suggestions? (already tried FOP)
Thanks,
Simon.

I'm working on installing a new font for Fop and need to know how/if it's

Hmm, I'm getting no images enumerated. I'm running saxon 6.4.3. I added
saxon643.jar (the file, not its directory) to my classpath, which I is how
to enable exslt, right? My images are entityrefs ( . Am I missing something obvious?
Thanks,

Yes for html-based outputs. Yes for fo->pdf if you're willing to pay for
a commercial renderer. fop appears to be close, but not quite ready for
production use.

Hello Jens,
I thought I could process TDG CVS with the latest 'official' DocBook XML DTD
4.1.2 (see http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/#documents) and latest DocBook
XSL 1.48 (see
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=21935&release_id=68704
).

Thanks very much, will have a look at it.
Done: looks quite nice, haven't tried yet on docbook, because all our
documents use nested tags.
Gave it a shot on the generated HTML: The arbritrary division in the imenu
index is somewhat unfortunate, with ca. 320 section headings it's difficult

Hi Martin,
this is reproduceable (just tried yesterday). The last Beta Version used to
work, MSXML 3.0SP2 (as distributed with IE6) also. After installing 4.0RTM
over the latest beta it stopped working.

Hi all,
I've been DocBooking in emacs (PSGML) for a couple of years now, but have
kept having trouble navigating through documents - especially finding it
difficult to find particular sections, etc.
I've now had a couple of weeks experimenting with XMetal, and find the
document preview mode great
