[docbook-apps] danger admonition
Hi everybody, I’ve read that the admonition should be added to the others (tip, note, caution, …) with the 5.2 version of DocBook. Is it true? If it is, in the docbook.org website the newest available version is 5.1. Is there a scheduled date for the release of the 5.2 version? [docbook-apps] R: [docbook-apps] footnote - nested tables
Thank you Bob, the is of course the perfect solution, but the truth is… I wasn’t be honest ☺ I hoped to find a simple trick in your first answer. The real problem for me is that the nested table (the internal one) is obtained through a link. The real code I’m using is like this Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet http://www.w3.org/2001/XInclude; /> In this particular case, of course, it doesn’t accept me to insert the “include” in a . So I think the only solution is to modify the .xsl files… do you agree? Or Do you think the are other solutions? Matteo R. Da: Bob Stayton [mailto:b...@sagehill.net] Inviato: mercoledì 27 giugno 2018 19:27 A: docbook-apps@lists.oasis-open.org Oggetto: Re: [docbook-apps] footnote - nested tables It is possible but it would not be simple. The stylesheets were not designed to handle a table nested in a para in a table entry. Normally CALS tables are nested with an entrytbl replacing entry, not a table element nested inside an entry element. In DocBook 5, your file will not validate as it would violate the Schematron rule that prevents putting informaltable inside entry. It should be invalid in DocBook 4, but there is no way to express such an exclusion with DTD syntax. The footnote machinery is already complicated by having to keep separate the table footnotes from the page footnotes. So you would need to customize several templates that number and place footnote markers, as well as places where footnote paragraphs are rendered, to take into account nested table footnotes. Those templates are in the footnotes.xsl and table.xsl stylesheet modules. Re: [docbook-apps] Profiling NOT condition
Thank you all, I trust Bob when he says "It isn't that complicated", my problem is that I'm not so smart/skilled with .xsl customization, but I have a good friend that maybe knows how to do :-D In any case, for now, I've solved my issue through the "condition" generic attribute. Unfortunately, the profiling stylesheet doesn't support a NOT condition. It would be very convenient to have one. What you can do is to list all possible profiling attributes except the one which you want to exclude (that's your "not condition"). You can translate the "not condition" into this set of relationships: not Cond2 = Cond1 not Cond1 = Cond2 If you allow more than two values in your profiling attribute, you have to list *all* your possible values, except the excluded one: not Cond1 = Cond2;Cond3;Cond4;... [docbook-apps] Profiling NOT condition
Dear all, usually when I insert a condition in the tags of my document I have a condition for every case. I mean: if I have to show the value "3" in case of the first condition and the value "5" in the second one, I write, for example: /35/ in this way I can decide which value has to be shown. But if I have a profiling attribute with a single value (for example, the value 3 has to be shown if there is the Cond1, the value 5 in all the other cases, in other words when Cond1 is false), how can I do? [docbook-apps] Multi-footnote reference
Hi everybody, do you know if is it possible to link a single footnote to more than a line? To explain better what I mean I've attached an image of a table with the footnote and the related numbers 1 in each line I need them. All written in red. [docbook-apps] Status attribute
Hi everybody, I'm facing a problem with a customization... I want to inhibit the presence of some object (such as rows, para, ...) in the generation of a PDF document, and I was expecting that I could use the /_status=draft _/attribute, but it doesn't work. I've discovered that from DocBook 4.5 it doesn't work as a common attribute, but only for book, chapter, ... (maybe I can say only for macroelements). Which attribute may I use to obtain the same result? Or what else can I do? Thank you since now, Matteo R.

Now I have this problem: in the orderedlist of the FO the distance from the listitem to the text is not dynamic and if the listitem number (dot included) takes more space because it's made by 2 or more numbers (eg. 16. instead of 1.) it enters in the text space and mixes with it, in other words overwrites the text. I'm not able to find a property of the list block to arrange this problem, or (more probably) I'm using it in a wrong way. I tried in these ways, but without success: /1)/ xsl:attribute-set name=list.block.spacing xsl:attribute name=space-after20px/xsl:attribute /xsl:attribute-set /2)/ !--xsl:attribute-set name=list.item.label xsl:attribute name=margin-right20/xsl:attribute /xsl:attribute-set-- /3)//(I've found this one in a website)/ xsl:attribute-set name=list.label.spacing xsl:attribute name=right xsl:choose xsl:when test=self::orderedlist2em/xsl:when xsl:otherwise0pt/xsl:otherwise /xsl:choose /xsl:attribute /xsl:attribute-set-- I even tried with different properties of each attribute-set... Have you ever had this problem? Do you have any suggestion? Matteo
