Hello Girvin
When I grab a screen shot or create an illustration, I save it as a PNG file. I

Hi all,
I had to move the ODFAuthors site to a new (faster) server. Thus I will
set the website into a read-only modus for the next days (during the

As we are upgrading the translated Calc guide from 3.3, I would like to
have a copy of the Calc guide 3.3 for OpenOffice.org. We have a
translated version, but would like to have the English version so we can
compare the English version with the later version so we can more easily

Hi :)
I think Gimp might allow you to save into Png format that allows you to keep
all the different layers and alpha channels and stuff but i have a feeling that
it needs an add-on. Otherwise the layers get merged or flattened. I tried
asking about this here a few weeks ago but asked badly

Hi :)
Can anyone suggest a good work-flow for translating the guides?
Someone had a look at the ODFAuthors site and said it looked too complicated

The German-nl has some different ways for translating:
1. ODFAuthors: One translate the whole text, the next do a review and so on.

Hi. I have used a number of drawings from Draw in my Writer documents
where I copy and paste from Draw. I find I can then edit them in Writer
and they are embedded in the writer file.
