Re: [libreoffice-documentation] Missing example code syntax highlighting wrong indentation after help page updates

2016-05-15 Thread klasse

Hi Regina,

The auto-removed "bascode" tags were the issue, thanks! It's been fixed
and confirmed (latest daily) on master.

The current "HelpAuthoring-3.1.4.oxt" extension doesn't have those
latest filters. It would be great if it could be updated.

The changed (wrong? - just two spaces, no sub-indentation for
statements) indentation in all code examples throughout BASIC help is an
independent and pre-existing issue.

Best,

Johnny_M

Hello all,

I've updated two BASIC help pages (Rnd and Randomize) and now noticed
(on master) that the code examples on those pages lack syntax
highlighting, and all examples have wrong indentation throughout BASIC
help.

Further details in
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99809#c4

Does anybody know what the problem could be? Does anything else need to
be updated?

Thanks in advance,

Christian Lohmaier has updated the xsl filter to preserve the
bascode-tags (2016-04-12). Do you have already got the current filters?
Compare your versions with the versions in
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/contrib/dev-tools/tree/helpauthoring/filter.
It might be, that the current version is not yet included in the
extension. But you can manually exchange the files if needed.

If the bascode tags got lost, please open the help file in a text editor
and add them. The extension has yet no UI to newly add the tags. The
transformation for syntax-highlighting is then done while compiling.

Kind regards
Regina

Hi Olivier,

Ooh, yes, I remember why I stopped using OmegaT because of this very
frustrating occurrence. It was something I encountered when I tried to
use OmegaT to translate the Base Guide from German. This is probably one
of the reasons why most of the Guide translations are done manually,
rather than with a translation memory system, as the time consumed
resetting hard formatting is enormous, and quite frankly, if you are
already typing your translation as you along, why should you have to
bother with sorting out the hard formatting ;-)

Good luck !

Alex

[libreoffice-documentation] Introduction German Translator for Documentation (BASIC)

2016-05-15 Thread Maik Wagner

Dear List,

I signed up yesterday for this list and would like to introduce myself:

My name is Maik Wagner and I am from a small village called Brome which
is in Lower-Saxony (Niedersachsen). I am offering services relating to
Linux, Websites as well as translation services. I am fluent in English
and French at C1-level according to the European Reference Framework for
Languages. I also hold an LPIC-1 Linux-certification.

As I started to get into Macro-programming using BASIC I would like to
help and offer translating some documentation that I come across which
should enhance the learning effect.

My current project is writing a character generator for my favourite
Pen Roleplaying game which is "Tunnels and Trolls" a very old game
from the 70s. So far I have created an iteration that a dice is rolled
three times and its sums are being added.

It was with great pleasure to hear yesterday that somebody has been
working on documenting the rnd/Randomize function.

Please let me know what I would need to do to contribute to the
documentation of LibreOffice.

Kind regards,

Maik Wagner
