Re: [libreoffice-documentation] Writer 7.4: Outline folding no more experimental

2022-05-14 Thread Jean Weber
This appears to still be experimental in the Alpha1 of LO 7.4 on
macOS, because the Outline Folding selection in Options does not
"stick" unless Experimental Features is active. Do you know when this
is expected to change? Also, the description in the Help page does not
match the behaviour.

Re: [libreoffice-documentation] Base Guide - New Chapter 2

2022-05-14 Thread flywire
Requesting again someone other than Steve or myself (ideally a typical
uninformed user) to test the SQLite install on a clean Windows system (ie
without an ODBC driver installed or any ODBC Data Source Names configured).
There are no instructions given in the linked Windows driver documentation
to create an ODBC Data Source Name (DSN).

[libreoffice-documentation] Base Guide 7.3

2022-05-14 Thread Olivier Hallot

Hello Team

I have reviewed and published BG7302-CreatingADatabase (actually it was
named BG7402 in WIP folder, fixed)

I also reviewed and published BG7303 Tables, BG7306 Reports and BG7307
Linking to Databases.

I am revising BG7308 Database tasks, after Dev review and remarks. As
side note, Dev's remarks made me fix a dialog and Help page in source
code related to Direct SQL statements. Thanks Dev!

So we are left with BG7308 (me) and BG7305 (Pulkit) to finish the Base
Guide 7.3.

Kind regards

Re: [libreoffice-documentation] Documentation forum

2022-05-14 Thread flywire
I'm looking forward to Discourse replacing the mailing list.

Suggested features:

   1. All email notifications turned off except any threads subscribed to
   2. Optional thread subscriptions: I post to, mentioning my username,
containing selected tags (eg base documentation)
   3. Default English filter
   4. Attach documents and inline images
   5. Emojis on posts, at least a GitHub subset, rather than just love
   6. Specific documentation of the rules coded into the site (eg

https://communitytest.documentfoundation.org/t/re-test-document-foundation-community-email-issue-posting-error/33
   )
   7. Direct https://ask.libreoffice.org/ link

Works find with Brave although Brave does not support translation.
