Yeah. I already solve the problem.
The one letter in "formatdate" string need to be in uppercase like
"formatDate"
So, as this is a common function of EXSLT I think the XSLT Processor found
the function without any problem.

it has nothing to do with DOM4J, it is problem of your XSLT library,
probably Xalan.
