During startup the screen 'GNU GRUB version 1.98+20100804-ubuntu3' seams
to have cloned itself.
It shows Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.35-23-generic
Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.35-23-recovery mode

No, but you could try
sudo update-grub
in a terminal to make it re-build the menu and see if it's fixed on the
next boot.
Cheers,

Hi All,
I seem to have really screwed things up! I was trying to get rid of
some unwanted data from a Shotwell database and now all my folders are
empty and all icons have gone from the desktop.
The command I put in was rm -rf ~/ .shotwell/Examples
I got a message telling me it was busy and
Just checking I am still connected

Hi all,
My Evolution alarm notification has stopped working if the computer is
not switched on at the time set for the alarm to go off. It used to go
off when I booted up. I think the problem started at about the time I
upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04. Can anyone help please?
Cheers,
Peter.
