1) Dovecot LDA for newly delivered mails
2) Dovecot IMAP for messages saved/copied via IMAP client

How are you delivering your mails to mailboxes? If you don't use dovecot's
deliver quota won't get updated (unless you use filesystem quota)

(mysql), imap, and quotas. I'm setting the quotas using mysql.
I have quotas working correctly, and I can telnet into the imap
server, and submit

and get back valid quota information. I get a maildirsize
