configurations from vmail --> root and that helped.
Now I have a working replication but with some problems and strange
Your problem is that you are running service doveadm as vmail, but you

I've set up 2 servers with dovecot 2.2.9 using maildir using structure:
/var/maildir/domain/localpart
Server A:mx1.xxx.de
Server B:mx2.xxx.de
Mails are delivered to dovecot only on server A by exim4/dovecot deliver
replication to Server B works immediatelly:

Currently there is no way to change it at run time. As a quick fix, if you
compile your own Dovecot, you could try modifying
DSYNC_IBC_STREAM_TIMEOUT_MSECS in src/doveadm/dsync/dsync-ibc-stream.c . I

Cancel that advice. Timo did a change that should make changing the
timeout by hand unnecessary. If you can, try running Dovecot
with this patch

I have two servers in two different locations. Neither what you would call

Most staff use web based email. This backs onto imap server. I do know I
will have to deal with contact lists and other items. in that client.
