I have a new director ring I am setting up on centos 7 with dovecot
2.3.1. I haven't been able to replecate this in testing, but as soon as
I start pushing production traffic to the new ring I see dozens of these in the
logs:

My usual MUA (mutt) manages its own header cache database, and
it's quite fast with local files. What slows things down when
using IMAP is the TLS startup and authentication. Disabling
TSL for localhost would probably help...

I keep seeing this come up over and over. My understanding is it’s not getting
removed, it’s just moving to the paid version of Dovecot. What is the cost for
a small user license of dovecot that incudes replication anyway? Is the price
that outrageous?

I can not migrate the entire server to maildir. I would be willing to
migrate just my inbox to maildir to see if this fixes it. Any help on
how to do this? Can this be done such that my ~/mail/* files remain as
mbox files?
