We are moving our inbound mail to use dovecot LMTP in the near future and
we are looking for suggestions on how to implement a mysql based vacation
system. If anyone has experience with this, good or bad please let us
know.

Seem to have found a error in version 1.2.6 regarding usernames having a number
as the first character. Customers with a number as the first character in thier
user name can not login via pop3 clients. However they can login through our
webmail interface. If we remove the number from the
er: service(imap): child 589277 killed with signal 6 (core
not dumped - https://dovecot.org/bugreport.html#coredumps - set
/proc/sys/fs/suid_dumpable to 2)

Mail-filter plugin was removed in version 2.3.14.
Any idea why was this removed?
Is there a replacement for the mail-filter plugin?

Hi,
I installed dovecot on a new up-to-date RHEL8 test system and
configured a simple mail_filter plugin which only copies the input back
to the output (i.e., the filter does nothing special).
On RHEL8 I get the following panic when saving the mail. The Dovecot
version that comes with RHEL8 is
