Re: sieve auto-creation/subscription - Thunderbird cannot re-arrange folders

a good news, well good somewhat, is that Evolution does not "suffer"
from this issue.
Could still something be "tweaked" at Dovecot's end... would be an
easier way out.

like I said
"...every other folder, top or not, which is not auto created & auto subscribed,
Thunderbird can move around as expected.."
No need for an add-on, Thunderbird from some several releases back - this
functionality has been built-in.
Perhaps.. it's thunderbird-exclusive issue - will try some other client, only
what(?)

Oops, sorry, seems like I have misinterpreted your problem description. 😇🤷‍♂️

In Thunderbird auto-subscribed folders - in my case a path with sub-folders -
cannot be moved around, meaning top-bottom order.
Parent folders Thunderbird shows in cursive and sub-folders (targets for sieve fules) are
shown "normal"
It seems impossible to re-arrange top/parent folders - but every other folder, top
or not, which is not auto created & auto subscribed, Thunderbird can move
around as expected.
Anybody seen, anybody knows this and knows a way to "fix" it?

Which version of TB are you using? There is/was an add-on that allows
rearranging
folders, but this add-on has been integrated into TB as of version 139.0
already.

Disclaimer: I have no idea if auto-subscribed folders are handled differently,
but
I don't see why they would. I don't think that subscription status affects
visual
presentation (ie. folder ordering), but I could be wrong of course.
