I have had to uninstall 3.1.3. It completely killed the quickbar on my windows 2000
(sp1) machine.
I installed 3.1.3 and rebooted and got the message :
the DQSD helper dll is not correctly installed
then
unable to instansiate DQSDTools Launcher automatic server can't create object
then
Pressing enter in the toolbar will open the default browser (regardless of
which one it is) with the URL www.google.com ... Is this what you meant?

Yeat another suggestion :
if switches are entered, the line :
document.searchf.input_file.value = q;
should be
document.searchf.input_file.value = args.q;

I chose not to do that, but there is a comment _if_ a field has been selected:
// The wizard assigned the search string to this form field value because
// this field was the active element when the search file was generated.
// Change this to args.q if the search string is
Monty,
Sorry, I'll try to restate it. In the deskbar type something and hit enter this will
open a browser window. If one is open already, shift enter will open another browser
window. The help says this functionality only works for IE. My suggestion was that it

Hello list
I've put together a small search that uses a serverside app called
WebPoll to show the timings of 'objects' on a webpage. I wrote it for work
purposes (I work for the site owners WebPerform and it made sense to add it
to the toolbar as i use both frequently) and thought i'd share it

I haven't updated my quick search bar for several versions. Since I use it
quite often, I went out to see if there were any updates. Wow, what a great
improvement! Lots of features now. The one thing that was missing from my
old list which I really liked to refer to is the Wayback Machine at
You can also drag-and-drop text into DQSD, although it unfortunately
auto-launches Google when you do.

Well, you've got a point there. I was speaking in context. Given that
'untidy' had the calendar popping up, I figured it wasn't necessary to
mention as he must then have cal=true.
JB
I'll assume calStart=1; only works if you've got cal=true; 'cause in my
case it doesn't.
