The 3.1.8 version includes the Google-toolbar-style keyboard hooks,
which I imagine, when used on a system that also has that installed,
would experience keyboard-hook blocking.

This happened with 3.1.6. I'll check if the google toolbar
is running on the machine though it shouldn;t be a problem
with that version it seems.
