Sounds like you're experiencing the sourceforge unaavailability
problem.

Disable the check for upgrade in your prefs. The next release will
correct this problem. You can add the following line to your
localprefs.js file:

checkForUpdate = false;

[DQSD-Users] Search bar is causing system to hang

I wrote about this problem last week and think I missed the answer. The search bar is causing my system to hang upon booting. The task bar remains frozen as Dave's search bar attempts to load. This happens even after I've unintalled it and rebooted. I'm really at a loss as to what to do. I've loved the tool but now it's crippling my system. I can't get the thing off. Help, anyone? Dave?
