Hey Monty, This version also contains a change to open a new window directly without using an html file. I'm no regular comx user, but I tried it out to see if it worked even in non-admin scenarios (not sure why it wouldn't). Anyway, it seems to work fine, at least for Calvin and Hobbes...

[DQSD-Users] IE 7 Beta

Looks like the latest IE 7 Beta breaks DQSD. I had the previous IE 7 Beta and it worked fine, but this one has no menu or text field to type in or display the clock. It is just a gray useless box. JB --- This SF.Net email is sponsored by

Hey Brent.. I hear ya.. I worried about that.. I use Firefox exclusively...I just thought it might be a little quicker to display the comics with a trimmed down featureless window (since IE is already running via the OS). When you say make it optional, do you mean an option on the

I added the /nopopup switch that can be used to tell dqsd to write to a file and open in the default browser. Please give it a go.. Monty Brent Beardsley wrote: Hi Monty, Can you please make it optional to write to an html file? I'm using Firefox with tabs and I like the old behavior

I am willing to help debug it. Any ideas where to start with it? I am behind in reading for my class, so I may be in-and-out with my time to work on this. But let me know where you think I should start. JB I'm not sure where to go with this... Any way of isolating what's wrong?

Maybe it has something to do with comics pulled from ucomics.com. Try viewing 'Dick Tracy' using both of the following methods to see if they work: comx /dicktracy or comx /dicktracy/nopopup If neither work, try clearing your browser cache and try again. Steve - Original Message From:

It sounds like it is running an old comx.xml, or you have the URL cached. This behavior is what you will get when the pattern matching fails to find the string in the destination website.. (which is what was happening after forbetter was removed from comics.com).. After you get the blank
