I turn it off too. Just go to the little menu and
select configure local preferences.
Then when notepad pops up, add the line
bannerurl = ;
after you save and close notepad, enter a single ! in the
search box. It will reload itself without the little icon.

Let me say that your search bar is quite simply one of the
best utilities I have ever used, simply brilliant. However I
don't like the new magnifying glass picture as it takes up
desk bar real estate and it just takes you to
