I'm not sure it is because the searches are pointing to cvs.sourceforge.net. Didn't we switch to Subversion? Brent --- Monty Scroggins <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > It looks like it is working.. Re: [DQSD-Users] Updates between versions?
It looks like it is working.. I can see a cosmetic thing or two but the page still works.. The webpage should update from the repository frequently.. New searches should be reflected on the page.. Re: [DQSD-Users] Updates between versions?
Michael, Monty had created a page out on the dqsd.net site to display all the current searches, but I think it no longer works due to a switch in our source code control system (http://www.dqsd.net/tools/dqsdtoc/searchtoc.pl). We probably need to fix that. Monty, does that display new searches automatically? Anyway, there may be another way that I'm not aware of, but here is how to download and install new/updated searches: - Go to the searches directory of the code repository on SF: http://tinyurl.com/w5s6h (http://dqsd.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/dqsd/trunk/dqsd/searches/?sortby=date#dirlist) - Click on the search .xml file link, which will take you to the revision history page for the file. - Right-click on the (download) link and save the file your %PROGRAMFILES%\Quick Search Deskbar\searches directory. - Reload your searchbar by entering ! and then Enter. This should work in most cases. Every once in a while a search file will require a change to some of the core files, in which case you would need to download that core file as well. Usually, that's not the case though. Hope that helps, Glenn Original Message > From: "Michael Garoutte" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Thursday, December 14, 2006 9:02 AM > To: dqsd-users@lists.sourceforge.net > Subject: [DQSD-Users] Updates between versions? > > Hi all, > > A few weeks ago, I noticed that some standard DQSD searches (eg USPS > trackng info) were not working, and I knew that someone had posted an update > to the new URL. [DQSD-Users] Updates between versions?
Hi all, A few weeks ago, I noticed that some standard DQSD searches (eg USPS trackng info) were not working, and I knew that someone had posted an update to the new URL. But I didn't know how to get the new search installed. I solved this by installing the 4.0 version, but could someone on this list explain how to install the interim updates (presumably from the Sourceforge site) without waiting for a new version that includes them? Or is this answered somewhere online? Thanks, Michael - Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
