RE: [DQSD-Users] run command in 2.5.8 beta 4
One of the problems with the (excellent) consolidation of the google, gg groups, gg advanced, gg uk, gg canada, etc.. is that aliases were created to redirect the searches to the gg search when the replaced searches were called - gguk for example.. Because aliases were created for this, shortcuts are now always present for gga, ggca, ggn, gguk and ifl. IMHO I think the shortcuts category should only contain aliases created by the user. With the excellent help text for the gg search, the user can easily see how to execute these searches using the switches.. I dont see a need to force 5 shortcuts on *everybody* especially since a large amount of people wont even know what the searches mean. (not everyone using the toolbar is technical).. Well if I had the power I would add you to CVS myself, but... -Original Message- From: Will Dean [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: April 24, 2002 4:06 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [DQSD-Users] run command in 2.5.8 beta 4 At 15:55 24/04/2002 -0700, you wrote: You are awesome Will! I do like this mailing list :-) I have to use the very old shortcut.exe app combined with WinKey to do that right now. And what shortcut key do I already useWinkey-S! Groovy indeed. Well, I'm just putting the finishing touches to it, and I'll check it all in tonight. You'll have to wait for Glenn to build a beta, or check it out and build it yourself. You should imagine for a moment that tiddling about with bits of Win32 programming is any sign that I shall be able to work CVS...
