which results in searches opening in new tabs within

single Firefox window, but for example entering URLs
to be opened or using aliases opens a new instance

Firefox rather than opening in a new tab.
I've got the Single Window extension/plugin
installed and set to:
Enable single window mode
Open external links in new tabs
Open links with invalid targets in new tabs
Open JavaScript links in new tabs
Any suggestions?
