I use the spot position on the Transmitter and tune for max on the receiver s meter. Preselectors first and main tuning knob on Transmitter second. Plate next and load control at 3.5 for 80 meters and 4.5 on 40 meters and higher freq. I noticed that I get an additional 20 to 30 watts output
