I don't think so. He responded via direct to my post, and the header trail
checks out. It does not appear to be spoofed, at least.

Perhaps, but maybe less so than the in-band spurs.

Is the issue of frequency accuracy, plus stability, not a consideration when
attempting 60 meter operation with a 4-line? Changing PTO frequency would
still result in one having to deal with accuracy and stability issues which,
for channelized operation, are more critical. Just some random tho
Like another Gary pointed out, the IF is in the way.
It will work to use a 16.1MHz crystal. You will get images and spurs though.
If you are lucky (I haven't run the numbers) they are far enough from the
60m channels to let you RECEIVE them... BUT do not try to TRANSMIT,
you will put out spurs th
The T-4X IF frequency is 5645 khz, that’s why the manual states not to use the
frequencies 5 to 6 mhz.

Hi folks,
I have scanned the article, one small page, written by K0ZQD in V2 Iss.
16 of The Collins Coll's. MMag. It gives the schematic, leaving
construction details to the builder. I also have scanned a skem of the
p.s. pinouts for the 516F-2, from the same issue. Make your own

I see that a 16.1 MHz crystal would cover 5.0 to 5.5 MHz if it can work
at all. With the 60 meter channels ranging from 5.3305 to 5.4035 MHz, I
wonder if at least receiving might be possible?
