The dial is a friction fit, you can hold the PTO knob firmly and force the
plastic dial to turn to position it where you want.

While my T-4XC was sick, I used my TR-3 with a RV-3 in near junk condition. I
has to re-solder several connections, so someone has been in there before. But
I got it working. One problem remains. The dial is showing the correct
frequency, but the stop lock engages about 5 kHz too high on the bo
