Hi All,
Well after moving, I'm getting my Drakes back on the air. I lashed up the B/C
Line in prep for Straight Key Night. I ran the L7 for awhile and it seemed to
be fine. It was putting out about 1000 watts on 20 meters. I left the room
for awhile and came back to a very warm room and
Mike, it sounds like the grid choke on one of the tubes has
opened. That is about 50% of the time where a tube
arc's between the plate and grid.I would not run the
amp until that is fixed.If a tube is going bad it will
show up again and that could cause more damage than just a
