2004-10-25 Thread Aidehua

You asked:"Just an FYI from the Drake list. there is some doubt that
the rig is an actual tr7AThe TR7A started with serial number 10,5xx. You
stated it is s/n 9xxx. You may want to clarify or reverify it is indeed an "A."
The pic does not show thisSo, I'll ask again...Is it a TR7A or just a TR7?
Please reply. Thanks, Ed NI6S"It is a tr7 with the upgrades with
filters and warc bands that make it a tr7a. I will clarify it in the
auction.

[drakelist] Question about Odd R4C filter

2004-09-24 Thread Aidehua

I've come across pix of some R4Cs that have a filter, twice as large as the
other plug in filters (more depth), on the back of the radio. It usually
sits in the 1.5 kc position (bottom).

Can anybody tell me what this filter is? Is it a 16 pole type??

Thanks,
Ed NI6S

PS: Also looking for a Drake TR5 to
buy

[drakelist] Latest Drake R4C Serial Number?? (survey...)

2004-09-20 Thread Aidehua

Hello to the Group!

I have a late serial numbered R4C (29xxx, 1978 vintage) and am trying to
figure out what other members may have, in terms of a late serial
number.

When did R4C production cease? Any 30xxx out there?

Thanks,
Ed NI6S
