"Ron Baker" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterence to the drakelist gang
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not sure if anyone has figured out or found a useful purpose for the
Drake TR7(A) "Store Switch" function. If anyone has it would be
interesting to educate us that hasn't a clue what its for.

Anyway, one function the TR7 lacks and I personally find a "must-have"
feature for any transceiver is the ability to key the transmitter for tuning
an amplifier or match box, This is similar to the "Key Lock" function on
the Drake TR-5 transceiver. Yes there are other ways and means to key the
transmitter but this modification is a simple circuit change which will
allow transmitter keying from the from panel. It uses the "Store Switch",
it still maintain the "Store" function other than in the CW mode. This
modification is also 100% reversible if for any reason you later wanted to
remove it. I did the modification to my TR7's a while back and shared it
with a few Drake user friends. It was well received so I though I would
share it with those on the listserver. Here is the link.

Also, if you haven't visited my Drake website lately, take a look, I have a
totally new home page layout. Here is the link.
