Folks, I replaced the relay in my T-4XB per the N6QW directions ( http://www.jessystems.com/R4B-T4XB.html ) and it works great (almost). However, when keying on CW (99.9% CW ops here), there was reduced output on the first character when keying, then output jumped back up from then on. In my infinite wisdom, I changed the diodes and checked the associated resistors and capacitors on Board 4. Now, the first character problem is still there and the relay clatters (buzzes?) when switched to the spot position.
I want to use this with an R-4C that I converted to DDS VFO and a few other mods so any help would definitely be appreciated. Thanks, Harvey K5YU
