Hi,
This is the first release since we have split the drbd-utils
code off into a dedicated repository.
The advantage is that we have one drbd-utils package that
works with different versions of the drbd-module (drbd driver).
I am referring here to different minor versions like 8.4.4 and
Hi,
With this utils only release mainly the regressions from the
repository split got fixed. On the other hand the systemd
service file is of course for those who already deploy RHEL7
systems.

Hi,
in drbd-utils a number of fixes got queued up, so it is time
to start a new release cycle of it.
Last not least is has a number of important fixes in the
drbd-9 user-space parts.
On the kernel driver side, it is more than 6 month ago, since
the last pre release. A lot was done in the
Hi,
we have the impression this unveils a bug in DRBD.
It might be triggered if:
A resource with multiple volumes
AND
ko-count =1
AND
a write request triggers the timeout (ko-count * timeout)
then a wrong state transition confuses DRBD's state
handling.
The fix:

Hi,
In the last months the focus on the kernel side was to get
it into shape to form a usable base for drbdmanage and
the OpenStack cinder driver for drbd.
It is time to share the results of this work with a wider
audience.
We are testing here mainly on CentOS 6 VMs. Mirroring

Hi,
The focus for this release was to create a second transport
for DRBD. So far DRBD was capable of using networking infrastructure
that provides a BSD sockets API. That is basically:
TCP/IP (over Ethernet networks).
The new transport is called RDMA. It allows to use DRBD on
networking
Hi,
It really got time to push an drbd-8.4 release out. Over the course
over the last 9 month (yes, 8.4.5 is already nine month old), no
major issues where discovered.
The major driving force in this time period are customers that want
to see more performance on their latest generation SSDs.
Hi,
with this drbd-9.0 release we made great progress. First to mention,
the comparability with drbd-8.4 was improved a lot. Connecting to 8.4

necessary for performing a rolling upgrade.
A lot of time and effort was put
Hi,
I am proud to announce the availability of drbd-8.4.6 and the
drbd-utils-8.9.2 packages.
One reason to be proud are some performance improvements, that
are useful for users of fast SSDs.
The other reason to be proud that this release brings two new
commands to the drbd-8.4 userspace:

Hi Dietmar,
I did the necessary merges from drbd-8.4 after I saw your mail.
Please fetch drbd-9 git head and retry.

Hi,
this drbd-utils release is triggered by a drbdmanage. Drbdmanage
needs the ability to have multiple connection-mesh statements
per resource.
If you do not use drbdmanage, there is no pressing reason to
upgrade to this drbd-utils release.

Hi,
with this release we fixed some performance regressions in 8.4 that
trigger only when DRBD is used as block storage target. (I.e. they
do not triggered when you have a file system on top of it).
When it comes to new features a lot was done that DRBD works better

Hi,
This is the expected behavior, but not the desired behavior.
In case you are using DRBD Manage, DRBD Manage will get the feature
to skip the initial resync in case it deploys a DRBD resource on a
thinly provisioned volume. It is in development should be merged

Hi,
it is a long time since the release of drbd-9.0.0. Many bugs have been
fixed, just as expected for the first maintenance release after a .0
release.
On the feature side, the support for multiple paths was completed. I.e.
you can configure multiple address pairs, and the TCP transport will

Hi,
to all users of drbd-9.0.2: You want to upgrade to 9.0.3. We fixed a
