Hello. I've just installed the ATI Radeon DRI 0.7 (radeon-v0.7-linux-i386.tar.gz and Extras-v0.7-linux-i386.tar.gz) on a rh7.1 w/ XFree86-4.0.3-14 packages. Quake3 and Chromium (a OpenGL shoot'em up..) runs very well and gears tells : 2706 frames in 5.001 seconds = 541.092 FPS. The only

I am trying to figure out how to update the screen during vertical retrace. Is this possible to do with glx(swap buffers) and using dri? Maybe I have to set some configuration in XF86Config-4? Please CC me with replies since I am not currently subscribed to dri-devel. Best Regards Peter

On the Glint TX/MX, PermediaN families, this was trivial. They have a SuspendUntilFrameBlank command whose operand in the new location of the frame buffer (for double buffering purposes). Hence you just put that at the end of each rendered frame. We always used that religiously for fear of
