[Bug 10024] R300 fragment.position viewport transformation is incorrect

2007-02-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10024

--- Comment #34 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-02-25 03:09 ---
the gradients look right to me, fragment.position is camera. So Z should be the
distance from the camera. and in your case should always result in yellow close
to the camera, and white far from the camera.

Of course I may be wrong again.
Does the blob really render it differently?

You're correct about the left vs right color, I confirmed this with the blob,
too. I'm not sure why this isn't rendering correctly with R300 then. It seems
that it should be working...

Yes, I did. But when my machine freezes, it looks like a PCI bus freeze, so
everything is stuck, and I don't think it's still able to write something to
the logfiles (even if mounted -o sync).

I know what the problem is here. And bugzilla #5714 will cure it. So I'm
getting inclined to pull the frontbuffer-removal branch into master and
fix up the drivers on the fly.

How does this sound to others.

[Bug 10090] New: Google Earth rendering trouble with Unichrome IGP

2007-02-25 Thread bugzilla-daemon
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10090

Summary: Google Earth rendering trouble with Unichrome IGP
   Product: Mesa
   Version: 6.5
  Platform: x86 (IA32)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Drivers/DRI/Unichrome
AssignedTo: dri-devel@lists.sourceforge.net
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

When I start Google Earth 4.0.2723 I see Qt interface widgets with a black
rectangle where earth image must be. After switching to Full Screen (F11) I can
see almost full earth picture without its buttom part. Than, when I switch back
to windowed mode, I can see a half of earth's picture. Screenshots can make a
better sense of this problem.

I'm using Gentoo Linux with latest packages, xorg-server-1.2.0, Mesa-6.5.2,
openchrome-svn X11 driver.

Contact me for any additional info.

Re: Debugging the Radeon 200M command processor (CP)

2007-02-25 Thread Dave Airlie

I'll have to look at your dump and compare. (Maybe we can find some size
 differences).

The only thing that is really peculiar, is that when I look at the GART
table that 2c points to, it is MUCH too small.. Only 32*4 entries, which is
only enough to map 512k... (Also, the addresses are stored in big endian.. I
think.) I might be interesting to actually look at what is in these
 addresses.

That mght make sense on your card as you have actual RAM, the GART is
allocated dynamically by fglrx, so if you use a 3D app I'd expect some of
that RAM to start getting used for things..

Dave.

This was a mix up where the original bug was reported when using the
proprietary
blob, not the R300 driver. Obviously such bugs don't belong here.

If you can trigger this bug with the R300 driver, which is unlikely due to the
fact that there is no GLSL support for R300 yet, then you can reopen this bug
or
create a new one.

Re: Invalid reads from intersect_rect in radeon_state.c of r300 driver. [PATCH included]

2007-02-25 Thread Panagiotis Papadakos
Well I think I have the correct patch for this. We should call
radeonSetCliprects inside radeonMakeCurrent to update to
the new pClipRects whenever lastStamps change.

Probably this should also be applied to r200. Haven't seen for other drivers.

Comments?

P.S.
Should I try to get an account?

On Friday 02 February 2007 19:36, Panagiotis Papadakos wrote:
Well this patch is not correct since it leads to memory leaks, probably due

 Anyone understands why?

 Thanks

LOL how did you get google earth to run?
Well check my new patch on the other issue, the viewport one, i posted a new
patch that should fix a lot of issues, maybe this one too.

I'm already using your patch :)

Google Earth works from the box. Fullscreen is even useful sometimes.
