I'd expect problems with a videoram setting this low. Are you forcing it by hand? Can you attach your xorg.conf? Note that forcing it isn't generally necessary. Physical RAM will only be used when the server actually binds the memory. The videoram line in the log just reports the aperture size (which is the maximum amount the X server is allowed to use). The memory manager in recent kernels assumes it has the full aperture to play with; if you want to limit its memory usage we'd need to patch it instead. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are watching the assignee of the bug. -- Crystal Reports #45; New Free Runtime and 30 Day Trial Check out the new simplified licensign option that enables unlimited royalty#45;free distribution of the report engine for externally facing server and web deployment. http://p.sf.net/sfu/businessobjects -- ___ Dri-devel mailing list Dri-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dri-devel

Re: [PATCH] radeon: fix front-buffer rendering
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Pierre Willenbrock wrote: Ian Romanick schrieb: Joel Bosveld wrote: This fixes rendering when using dri2 (so, that means, radeon-rewrite and radeon-gem-cs) and a near-master xserver (the front-buffer changes). It is mostly just copied from the changes to intel. Strong work. :) There's a bug in the Intel Mesa code, however. Some cases of single-buffer rendering don't get is_front_buffer_rendering set. I haven't tracked it down yet. This manifests as a segfault in intel_region_buffer. I don't know exactly how it will manifest in the Radeon drivers, but it will probably be similar. In src/mesa/drivers/dri/intel/intel_buffers.c:327 only mode==GL_FRONT_LEFT is checked, but everywhere else mode==GL_FRONT implies using the same buffer as mode==GL_FRONT_LEFT (plus the buffer for GL_FRONT_RIGHT). Checking for GL_FRONT makes the segfaults go away for me. Of course... I had been thinking that GL_FRONT and GL_FRONT_LEFT had the same enum value. -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkn2EQ0ACgkQX1gOwKyEAw/bVgCdEvD/iyg7lGVZ7Y8haeWWNImE 5aoAnRBvxf/gtWeLD5CzH7ACJsQLj1sO =qnoU -END PGP SIGNATURE- -- Crystal Reports #45; New Free Runtime and 30 Day Trial Check out the new simplified licensign option that enables unlimited royalty#45;free distribution of the report engine for externally facing server and web deployment. http://p.sf.net/sfu/businessobjects -- ___ Dri-devel mailing list Dri-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dri-devel
