https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16191 Summary: kernel upgrade breaks 3D-graphics (glxgears is black, sometimes flickers) Product: Drivers Version: 2.5 Kernel Version: 2.6.34 Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P1 Component: Video(DRI - non Intel) AssignedTo: drivers_video-...@kernel-bugs.osdl.org ReportedBy: florian.a.j...@web.de Regression: No Created an attachment (id=26749) -- (https://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=26749) output of lspci After an upgrade to 2.6.34 (2.6.32 also showed that problem) from 2.6.26, 3D stopped working. glxinfo's output hasn't changed, however glxgears displays a black window, and only sometimes (for example when moving it) i can see flickering gears for a short time. also other 3D applications are affected i've a ati radeon mobility m6 LY and i'm using the open source radeon driver it doesn't matter which AGP mode i use, or if i set it to PCI mode. expected results: working 3d actual results: black window, flickering gears I'm using debian lenny and X.Org X Server 1.4.2 steps to reproduce: start glxgears. enjoy -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are watching the assignee of the bug. -- ThinkGeek and WIRED's GeekDad team up for the Ultimate GeekDad Father's Day Giveaway. [Bug 16193] New: NULL pointer dereference - radeon_unmap_vram_bos+0x22/0x50
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16193 Summary: NULL pointer dereference - radeon_unmap_vram_bos+0x22/0x50 Product: Drivers Version: 2.5 Kernel Version: 2.6.35-rc3 Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P1 Component: Video(DRI - non Intel) AssignedTo: drivers_video-...@kernel-bugs.osdl.org ReportedBy: bugz.kernel.tor...@xoxy.net Regression: No I was testing the game Lugaro on M26 (RV410), switching between different resolutions in the game's options menu. The LCD native 1680x1050 made the game cursor very slow, so I chose 1400x1050 (have to quit the game and reenter to take effect). After that I could not go back to 1024x768 (default, works well), only 1400++ resolutions were listed. Then suddenly X froze, but sysrq-B worked. I am not sure if this is a recent regression, because it is the first time I try out different resolutions in this game, and the issue might not be easy to reproduce as it happened after a series of resolution switching. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are watching the assignee of the bug. -- ThinkGeek and WIRED's GeekDad team up for the Ultimate GeekDad Father's Day Giveaway. 2.6.35-rc3: Reported regressions 2.6.33 - 2.6.34
[NOTES: * This report has been delayed, because I had to go through all of the entries and filter out the fixed ones, invalid ones etc. Of course, I might have missed some, but hopefully not too many. * E-mail reports from the last 7 days are not included.] This message contains a list of some post-2.6.33 regressions introduced before 2.6.34, for which there are no fixes in the mainline known to the tracking team. If any of them have been fixed already, please let us know. If you know of any other unresolved post-2.6.33 regressions, please let us know either and we'll add them to the list. Also, please let us know if any of the entries below are invalid. Each entry from the list will be sent additionally in an automatic reply to this message with CCs to the people involved in reporting and handling the issue.
