-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 XGI previously had this problem, and I suspect VIA is having the same problem now. They want to release the code to their 3D driver, but it's based on a version of the OpenGL sample implementation licensed from SGI. However, the SI has since been released under some sort of open-source license.
My guess is that it wouldn't be a huge amount of work (though not trivial either) to rebase the driver on the open-source version of the SI. Even if it only partially works, this would allow release of the driver code without license concerns. Just a thought... -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkpndDMACgkQX1gOwKyEAw9OdQCfd+irBdrNlcqU0+7YmQlKd8/N A+kAn0aucz6RfGHywjyCIKvOQ5vUIcd2 =Q4yd -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- _______________________________________________ Dri-devel mailing list Dri-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dri-devel
