Hi Alan
Yes, I usually have security on. I followed Hilton's instructions at:
http://wiki.lib.sun.ac.za/index.php/SUNScholar/Prepare_Ubuntu/S05/Ubuntu-14.04
I just tried enabling security on two other 14.04 servers and had the same
problem: tomcat won't start: java.security.AccessControlExceptio

Hi all,

the upgrade: Everything works fine, only the mail functions don´t work.
When I try to send something via feedback formular, I get a timeout.

Hi Nico,
This particular migration appears to be related to workflow, and a previous
thread mentions that it could be caused by configurable workflow being

As far as I know DSpace has always required Tomcat security to be turned
off. Were you running it with security on before?

Hello Massimiliano,
this error you quote know is different from the warning you quoted before.
It seems as if the item 2492 already got a doi, have you checked this.
You say "mint" no more do you only run update or the other commands too,
the order of the commands is important:

Dear Claudia,
even if I have configured the identifier-service.xml,
DIM2DataCite.xsl and the dspace.cfg with the correct username and password.
It seems that the system doesn't mint the doi.
When I insert a new item this haven't a doi and I don't undestand which is
the problem with dspace
P. S. You'll see the same warning while updating a template item.

Hi Massimiliano,
are you sure you got the right settings in your installation directory
and restartet your servlet container in case of any changes?
As for the item display error you most probably got a wrong setting

The file is news-top_it.html. I have looked in the core.services.xml and
it seems that is written correctly.
Thanks

Hi Massimiliano!
Did you spell the name of the file right?
news_top_it,htm
news_top_it.html
the dspace.log says:
"The file news-top_it.html is not a valid news file"

Dear Claudia,
I have followed your suggestion and added news_top_it,htm on the
core-services.xml file.
But unfortunately it doesn't work.
Thanks for your help

Hello Massimiliano,
did you add your news_top_it.html to the news service configuration at:
https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/dspace-5.6/dspace/config/spring/api/core-services.xml#L15
You must add a line
NAME_OF_YOUR_NEWS_FILE
for each additional file you provide.
Hope that helps

Dear all,
We upgraded the system to DSPACE 5.6, in the xmlui there are no
problems of visualization.
But in JSUPI we have two problems in the home page. we can't see the
information of the news_top_it.html.
