Hi Salony,

In DSpace 7+, whenever you see odd behavior in the UI (especially if 
something disappears or doesn't appear at all), this is a sign that an 
error is occurring behind the scenes.  The only way to determine what is 
going on exactly would be to locate that error...either in the User 
Interface (where it would appear in your browser's DevTools) or in the 
Backend (where it would appear in the dspace.log).  We have a 
Troubleshooting guide which walks you through the process of finding the 
error

Once you locate the error, I'd recommend searching around on this mailing 
list or on Google to see if you can find an immediate solution.  If you 
cannot, then feel free to share the entire error on this mailing list.  You 
may also need to share more details about how you've modified the 
discovery.xml file, if you find the error is related to Discovery in some 
way.
