Hi Nina,
the advanced search uses (unless otherwise chosen)
AND, i.e. field1 and field2 and field3.
Whereas in the simple search the terms are connected based on the
configruation property search.operator in the dspace.cfg. The default
operator is OR.

Hi All,
We had a situation this morning where we were getting lots of these errors
from dspace. I believe it happened when user attempted to access an item:
Exception:
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -2147483648
at java.text.SimpleDateFormat.subFormat(SimpleDateFormat.java:1049)
I forgot to mention that restarting tomcat resolved the problem.
Thanks!
Jose

Thanks Stephanie,
Just to be clear, does the MediaFilter grab the text file which is
attached to the PDF, if the PDF has a text file?
So, if the PDF is simply an image, then MediaFilter will create a blank
page.
Is this correct?

You'll also need to install the ant-optional package in Ubuntu. The
command:
sudo apt-get install ant-optional
will download and install
