rt of compressing directories into .zip or .gz,
is there a better way to support directories other than setting up
a collection for each? What if we have multiple directory levels?

We are considering a dspace collection of outdated legal information for
research purposes. This is the sort of information that should be
separately silo-ed so it does not mislead or confuse the occasional user.
If you have a collection you do not want indexed with your other dspace
collections,
Thanks to those who replied to my
question about experience with large, multi-terabyte files.
No one, as yet, reported any experience with
very large files in DSpace.

files.
Please drop me an email if you've dealt with
multi-Tbyte files and collections. I will summarize for the list.
Thanks,

I have deleted some large test collections from DSpace 1.7.2.
The disk space is not automatically freed.
Is there a program to run to free up the
disk space from deleted collections?

Is DSpace 'certified' to work with any particular Oracle versions?
More specifically, is anyone running
DSpace 1.7.2 with Oracle 11.2.0.3 ?
If you are an Oracle shop,
what do you test in DSpace to be
sure your Oracle version is OK?
Thanks,

this?
I am wondering if it might be due to
some other activity on the system at the moment.
I've posted a couple of times about 1.7.2 and
saw no responses. Maybe no one is using 1.7 yet?

How do we get Google to remove these unauthorized copies?

Is there any easy way to import/export this?

Anyone serving DSpace from Vista?
(not my choice, it was the only machine I had).
I can't get thumbnails to work and I've turned them on
everywhere I can find in Vista and DSpace.
They work fine on my Linux server.

realize many sites enter ETDs into DSpace for export to Proquest, but we are
going in the opposite direction, from Proquest to DSpace.
