Thank you to all who attended the 1.7 webinar today. Our sincere apologies for
the abrupt end to the webinar. For those of you who are international, we are
working on resolving the issues with your audio connection for future webinars.
We appreciate everyone's patience as we work through the logistical issues with
our webinar platform.

Thank you to Peter Deitz for presenting and for all his efforts on the 1.7
release. And a big thank you to all the committers and developers who make
DSpace possible.

I've pasted the q&a that came across the chat below. If you have any additional
questions that didn't get answered, please post them to the list and Peter or
one of the other committers/developers will do their best to answer.

Once the recording of the webinar is available, I will post a message to the
list.

I'm still on DSpace 1.5, so I might have missed this. Can we import from the
user interface yet or are we still tethered to the command line?

I have one other question -- Mirage looks really great and I can't wait to get
my hands on it. Will there be, or is there available a Live CD for 1.7?

Thanks for the theme url Peter!!!

a 1.7.1 release is a possibility, there are a few known bugs that are somewhat
minor that would be best to fix from a new release as opposed to making each
user manually fix them

Tim Donohue to All
11:49
Hi Alice: At this point, we haven't had anyone volunteer to make a Live CD for
1.7. But, if we can find someone interested in it, we would encourage it.
However, you can try out 1.7 on our demo server: http://demo.dspace.org/

release. Big thank yous, as always, to all the committers and developers who

Hi Robert Bodnar: The XMLUI currently automatically changes the language based
on your web browser language settings. I think we'd be open to providing a
"dropdown" to change the language on demand, but at this point in time, we are
looking for volunteers to help implement that feature. (As Peter mentioned, we
are all volunteers, so we just need to find someone willing to help us build
out that feature)

Tim Donohue to All
11:59
Yes, thanks to Peter! Great presentation!

Thank you Tim! I would like to do it myself, but unfortunately I`m not a
