Hi All, I'm trying to get a sense of how many universities are using Dspace for ETDs and whether institutions are bulk loading ETDs as opposed to allowing students to self-submit. I've looked through the literature, but have been unable to find anything on best practices for ETDs in Dspace.

George Mason is using our DSpace repository for holding our ETDs, along with the other usual IR types of things. I wouldn't say there is a current best practices guide, but the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (www.ndltd.org) web site has much information.

This is an interesting statistic which we are not really collecting for the DSpace community. Perhaps we could invite everyone who has a DSpace instance registered on the wiki also to list the content types that they are using it for. And in answer to your question, we are also using DSpace
