We’ve got some items in our repository which need the PD (public domain)
license attached, but don’t want students to try to attach this license when
submitting a thesis.
1) Is there a way to specify which of the CC license options appear

multi-dimensionality.
Metadata on an item in DSpace is meant to directly describe that item. So for a
property, you could have property.seller and property.buyer – or for more
granularity, you could have:
property.seller.name
If your client is only storing metadata (data in the various fields) then
DSpace is a bit overkill. But if they’re uploading documents relating to the
property then DSpace could make sense.
Whether you rename similar fields or create a separate schema really depends on
what’s easier for you

Creating new tables and endpoints is only possible if you know how to edit the
underlying source code of DSpace. Even then, you would need an extremely good
understanding of the existing code to make sure you don’t break anything (and
to be able to maintain it through future upgrades).
Would it work for you to simply delete the bitstream(s) or bundle(s), or to
make them admin-only, and edit the metadata?
The metadata is part of the item, so withdrawing the item is expected to
withdraw the metadata too.
(This said, in DSpace 5.x we got someone to fiddle with the tombstone

months back and it didn’t work. A very quick test today though did seem to work

names/identifiers of the metadata fields and are stored in the database
