Re: [dwm] [dvtm] mouse selection just inside a window?

 Hi dvtm users,

I was wondering, is it possible to restrict mouse selection to a window in
dvtm? Currently, multiline mouse selections in dvtm (with mouse handling
disabled in dvtm) goes across window borders.

I think this should be handled at the x terminal emulator level.

There is no mouse selection with mouse handling enabled in dvtm.

You have to press the shift key while selecting.

One way to do this is to handle mouse events in dvtm and use xclip to handle
 the X clipboard.

Integrating something like this in dvtm seems backward, instead run dwm
with multiple terms when you need such a thing.

Marc

I hope this will never happen.

 Have a nice day.

Bad news for you then, i have already played around a bit with this. See
the branch called tagging in the git repository for the outcome.

If you set BARPOS to BarOff in config.h you shouldn't notice a difference
to the current default behaviour.

I'm using xmonad now, because hg tip isn't usable with Xinerama yet.
And their model is what i wanted, except window swapping

There's a contrib module that emulates dwm window swapping behaviour:

Yea hg tip is still experimental, but there are a lot of efforts
during the last days, that I expect a preview for Sunday.

Kind regards,
