CLANDESTINE (RUSSIA) 6245 R. Zamaneh 2057 tlk by W in pres. Farsi
w/ments of Iran, Saddam, and IDs. Audio cut at end of sentence and then
signal gone at 2101*. Very strong and clear. S/off varies quite a bit
sometimes going past 2200. When its on late, there is a nice canned ID (in
PIRATE (NA) 6952.65 WMFQ 2309 ID by M during trashy Rap song. ID again
at 2311 Where's My * QSL over sev. clips of California Girls played
at the same time. Into sev. clips of Midnight At the Oasis again played

Chesson, Radio Service Manager, Nhulunbuy Language Media Centre. Says
they're using 400 watts full AM into a wire dipole fed by a balun, a
quarter wave above ground. Also says they'll be upgrading to a 1kW LPB
Omni
CONDITIONS: Just checked the current solar conditions after sending the
previous loggings and found the K Index had gone up to 5 with a spike in
the X-Ray flux at around 1200 UTC. Also, the aurora donut got much denser
and larger just as expected. G1 level storms are predicted. (Valko)

GROUNDS Recently while doing some shopping in our local Lowes home
hardware store, I noticed they have rolls of 20 foot copper flashing for
around $25-$35. I immediately wondered how effective it would be as a
radio or antenna ground buried (rolled out of course) under ground. Has

nx at 0931. Not on at 0956 recheck though. Someone must have forgotten to

USA 5925.9 WBOH, This turned out to be a spur of 5920. Hrd at 0100 w/M
anncr. Strong spur but very weak
USA 1640 WPVY987, Clearfield PA (TIS), 2320 short road construction loop
w/ID by M. Found QTH on FCC web site. Never hrd this before, but its only

tlk in Aymara by usual M and W.
Correction:
My logging of BBC on 6110 from 0755-1000+ must have been CVC Chile as Noel
Green was kind enough to point out. I guess the BBC IDs that I was
hearing were actually CVC. And of course its a regular on this freq in
PT. Sorry for any confusion.

back on the air after many months. I haven't had the time to sit down and
listen, so haven't been able to ID it yet, but from the few minutes that I
have heard it, its seems like R. Simbu. First heard yesterday, the
PAPUA NEW GUINEA 3345 R. Northern 0054-1009, Pgm of pleasant island mx
w/M host between songs. Over a minute of dead-air at 1000. Then own nx
from the studio by M anncr. Nice ID w/ment of Popendetta during the nx at
1106 and at least one ment of R. Northern in the stories. Good PNG
