RE: [DX-CHAT] Radio-Amateurs+ART

Maybe an alternative would be to mark that originating email as junk
email and send it to your garbage can and not even see it in your inbox.

[DX-CHAT] Follow-Up on Andaman Islands

2004-10-12 Thread WX5L
Hello,
A week ago I wrote a posting soliciting help for Miku, VU2WAP for written
support as he apply's for authorization to operate from Andaman Islands.
These letters will be a part of Miku's application indicating the desires of
the world DX community that they would like this to happen.

Also there is another attempt by Mrs. Bharathi, VU2RBI to also obtain the
same. I would like to make it clear that there is no competition between the
two but they are separate. There have been some letters written to Miku
supporting Mrs. Bharathi. These letters should be kept separate so as not to
confuse the application with the minister of communications.

If you send your support letter to Miku's address then mention Miku.
His address is;
Manoj Agarwal
44/1E Fairfield Layout Race Course Road
Bangalore, 560001, India
Again there has been personnel changes in the Department of
Telecommunications, and the Telecom Minister is now a ham, VU2DMK so now is
the time to make a case with the authorities to grant a license or change of
address to allow operation from Port Blair, Andaman Island.

If you would also desire to support Mrs. Bharathi then send a separate
letter to her address that was recently posted.

Thanks,
Randy

Re: [DX-CHAT] WN3VAW Antenna

2003-03-23 Thread WX5L
I also just had an opportunity to move qth's. I had a general area to look
in, size of the house and being somewhat isolated from cranky neighbors
somewhat important, no heavy electrical lines in area more important, plenty
space for antenna's even more important but the final consideration was no
antenna restrictions.
I would never ever put myself in that situation being a ham for 35 years.

I got this place on condition ONLY that there were no antenna deed
restrictions. I understand you are a hard-core radio nut (judged by the
amount of bandwidth you use - Your DX site is great - this is not a flame)
so why don't you select a more friendly QTH

As a casual/sometimes dx-er who doesn't spend much time on the dozens of
DX Websites---should I be worried about the fact that I've not gotten my
VP6DI QSL or are they still being delivered to the faithful? Thanks in
 advance.
