does anyone have a definitive list of WHEN each of the old USSR entities started using the current prefix blocks? ng3k has a good list of the prefixes and some other info available, but outside of moldova, there are no start dates given.

i'm putting 40 years of paper logs on to computer and would like to have the correct country. there is some switching (such asUP going from lithuania to kazakhstan, all UK calls now uzbezistan, etc). i wonder how others have handled this.

tnx guys for soothing an ole guys mind. i was pretty sure the operation was going to be from socotra and that was part of revillagigedo (i worked someone there many moons ago). i had had a debate with some guys on the air about the destination of the group, with their opinion being that it was some other island group that was to be activated. the short version was that i was right, they was wrong. pt (sound of bronx cheer).

i'm a little confused (comes with age, so i'm told). i thought there was supposed to be an operation from Revilla Gigedo in march, but now i hear that it is from a different island group. however, there is an xf4 supposed to be on later in the year. RG is one i've managed to miss on cw for years - one of the last 15 i need. don't want to miss it again. can anyone strighten things out for me?
