Steve, Actually what you say is not completely true. As I recall both Ben and Howie worked one or two FI8s. However, they were never able to obtain a QSL. As many old timers will remember, FI activity post war was in the late 1940's and early 1950's. ALL FI operations were illegal but ARRL
